The Field Centre is run by volunteers seven days a week. Our team provides vital assistance in very many areas, and we are always pleased to welcome new faces to our group - even if you can only spare a few hours on a regular basis, please do get in touch.
Similarly, the work of the Observatory has always relied on the goodwill of volunteer birders, coming in and helping with censuses, surveys and ringing.
Our team of volunteers meet regularly to catch up with news and to discuss ideas on how to improve things, please feel free to join us even if you have not yet joined the team.
Meeting dates are:
Saturday 14th January 2012 at 11.00
Saturday 14th April at 11.00
Saturday 4th August at 11.00
We are seeking help in the following areas:
Data Inputting: Training will be given but confidence using computers is a must!
Volunteer birders: Assisting with daily census and survey work.
Field Centre volunteers: Meeting and greeting the public, manning the shop and helping with the general running of the Field Centre. Help is needed 7 days a week.
Conservation volunteers: To work outside and help us maintain our reserves. Work is done every Monday and Thursday.
