DRAGONFLIES

There was an influx of 40 Migrant Hawkers, plus 35 Common Darters, on the 6th, when Southern Hawkers were seen on the Estate and New Downs, and the next day at least 100 Migrant Hawkers were present on the Estate.

BUTTERFLIES

Although the transect total on the 6th was down to 314 after two successive 400+ weeks, it included good totals of Common Blues (69) and Brown Argus (6), while 2 Holly Blues and 20 Speckled Woods were seen on the Estate and a Painted Lady flew along the beach.
